Polar codes for the AWGN channel

Description
The polarization technique, recently introduced in [1], allows to construct capacity achieving codes on discrete input channels. An important channel in communication is the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. However, the AWGN channel allows the use of a continuous alphabet. It is not clear how to best use the continuous VS discrete alphabet setting. We have proposed different theoretical constructions for the AWGN channel polarization. The goal of this project is to understand (pursue the analysis of) these constructions and implement them.

Perequisit
Probability, analysis and programming. Notions of simulation may be useful. The amount of theory VS programming work may be discussed.
